Owner-run, East Valley born

Call and you get Cody or one of his movers on the line, not a call center. Point out where the tight turns and heavy rooms are, and the day gets planned out well before the truck pulls up.

A quote in writing, not a guess

Your figure comes from a room-by-room walkthrough, with pads, dollies, shrink-wrap and wardrobe boxes already folded in — nothing sprung on you at the curb.

Pack it all or only the breakables

Dish barrels swallow the kitchen, wardrobe cartons take the closet straight off the rod, and a built-to-size crate shields every mirror, TV and pane of glass for the ride.

One crew for every kind of address

The chief who sizes up your home runs the truck and walks the empty place with you at the end — from Sun Lakes single-stories to Tempe high-rise walk-ups, the same team stays with your things.

I’m Cody Prescott, and Always Professional Moving is mine — just me, my trucks and my crews. I grew up in the East Valley a few blocks from downtown Gilbert, spent years running crews around the Phoenix metro for other outfits, and put my own name on a truck in 2012.

How I got started

The reason was simple: I was tired of watching corners get cut on other people’s belongings. We’ve added trucks and hired good people since, but the way we treat a job hasn’t changed — quote a fair price in writing, then send a crew that backs it up.

Are we a real moving company?

Absolutely — Always Professional Moving is a Gilbert, AZ mover that’s fully licensed, fully insured and run by its owner, with our own fleet of trucks and our own uniformed movers. We’re no broker, no lead-matching app and no aggregator, and your shipment is never touched by anyone else.

Who you’ll deal with

  • Danielle Cho — office manager; she handles scheduling, certificates of insurance and the Maricopa County paperwork
  • Grant Mercer — dispatcher; he sets the daily truck board for Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa and Queen Creek
  • Hector Salinas — lead crew chief on pianos, gun safes and the early-morning summer loads
  • Tyler Boone — crew chief for the long hauls down I-10 and US-60
  • Andre Willis — crew chief for downtown Gilbert and the Tempe high-rise jobs

How we run

Sixteen or so uniformed movers work for us, all on W-2 payroll — no day-labor, no subcontractors. We hold Arizona intrastate moving authority alongside federal US DOT and MC credentials for out-of-state work, and the company stays bonded and insured. You can still get me directly at (888) 278-9005 — I pick up between jobs.

Meet the owner

Cody Prescott — Owner of Always Professional Moving

I’m Cody, and Always Professional Moving is mine — owner-run, no partners, no franchise sign over the door. I grew up in the East Valley a few blocks from downtown Gilbert, worked crews all over the Phoenix metro for other companies, and set out on my own in 2012. The plan was plain and it still holds: hand people a written estimate they can trust, then send a crew that lives up to it. One truck turned into a yard full over the years, but the way we run a job hasn’t changed. Every mover at your door wears our shirt and draws a W-2 check from us — not one subcontractor in the mix — and a call to the office rings a phone right here in Gilbert, not some far-off answering floor. A decade of desert moves taught this crew what makes or breaks a job in the Valley: 110-degree summer loads that have to start at dawn, dust kicked up by a monsoon haboob, HOA gates and COIs in Val Vista Lakes and Seville, and snowbirds shuttling between Sun Lakes and home up north. The company name is painted right on every truck, and that’s the reason a customer’s heirloom dresser leaves the house wrapped as carefully as anything I’d load out of my own living room.

On staff full-time and uniformed, each of them working across the East Valley · a licensed and insured Gilbert, AZ outfit carrying Arizona intrastate moving authority next to US DOT and MC authority · the crew that loads is the crew that unloads

How Your Move Day Unfolds

  1. 1

    Same-day estimate, in writing

On our end: Give us the room count, whether it’s stairs or a flat walk-out, and where the truck can park — a written number comes back to you, usually before the day is out.

Where you help: Keep your move-out and move-in dates handy, plus any gate or building codes; that’s what turns a rough range into a firm figure.

  2. 2

We lock the date and clear access

On our end: Truck parking, gate codes and elevator holds get arranged with your building or HOA ahead of time, so the crew pulls up at the door instead of hauling boxes across a lot.

Where you help: Confirm when you can be out of the old place and into the new one, then tell us which of those two dates has the least give.

  3. 3

    Pad, wrap, label, load

On our end: Furniture disappears under blankets, sofas get sealed in stretch wrap, and every bolt from a bed or table rides in a labeled bag taped to its own piece.

Where you help: Tag each box with the room it’s bound for, and keep documents, keys and small valuables with you rather than on the truck.

  4. 4

Drive, carry in, walk it back

On our end: The movers who loaded your home are the ones who set it back down — furniture placed where you point, beds rebuilt, and all the spent wrap and tape hauled off before we leave.

Where you help: Do a final walk with the chief before the truck rolls, while anything that needs a fix is still an easy fix.

  • Licensed and insured — Arizona intrastate moving authority for in-state jobs, plus US DOT and MC authority the moment a move crosses a state line
  • The figure you approve is the figure the crew works to — built from a real room-by-room count, not a curbside guess
  • Every mover is uniformed, on our own W-2 payroll, and rolls up in a truck that’s ours
